On July 7th, the 18th Economic Forest Industry Development Sub-forum of Yangtze River Delta Science and Technology Forum was held in Chenshan Botanical Garden, Shanghai. More than 80 experts and scholars from all over the country and representatives of enterprises and institutions engaged in economic forest industry in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui discussed the challenges faced by the development of economic forest industry in the process of integration in the Yangtze River Delta, and how to push the forestry industry in the Yangtze River Delta region into the fast lane of development and to a new level.

With the theme of "Developing Economic Forest Industry and Promoting Rural Revitalization", this forum aims to strengthen the communication between experts and enterprise representatives engaged in economic forest industry related fields in "three provinces and one city" of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui, share innovative thinking modes and technological achievements, and impart practical operation skills. At the same time, we will further create a good situation of forestry ecological co-protection and joint governance, joint scientific and technological research and industrial integration development in the Yangtze River Delta region, create a new benchmark for the development of the national forestry industry, build a new highland for green development in the Yangtze River Delta, and play an active role in better serving the overall strategic situation of the country.

Qiu Hui, deputy director of Anhui Forestry Bureau, Chen Qingsheng, president of Jiangsu Forestry Research Institute, Wang Yan, secretary general of Shanghai Society of Forestry, and other leaders and guests attended the forum. The opening ceremony was presided over by Qian Bojin, chairman of Shanghai Society of Forestry.

Gu Xiaojun said that this forum is a major measure to practice the concept of "people in the people's cities build people's cities for the people", adhere to the people-centered principle, and make forestry development achievements more fair and benefit all the people. No matter from the strategic height or the general trend of development, it is time to further strengthen the coordination and cooperation of economic forest industry development in the Yangtze River Delta region and maintain the healthy and steady development of forestry industry. It is hoped that the sub-forum will focus on the issues of regional integration, industrial development and rural revitalization, focus on promoting the high-quality development of integrated economic forest industry in the Yangtze River Delta, exchange new development concepts, explore new development ideas and display new development achievements, and provide powerful scientific and technological support for further promoting the coordination and cooperation of forestry industry development in the Yangtze River Delta region.

Huang Xinghua said that at present, the Yangtze River Delta is speeding up the construction of an ecological green integration demonstration zone, and has carried out a lot of scientific and technological innovations in promoting the integrated development of forestry, establishing a cooperative mechanism for the integrated development of forestry ecological economy in the Yangtze River Delta region, and promoting the integration of forest and grass standards in the Yangtze River Delta region. This forum has set up an academic exchange platform for sharing experiences, colliding ideas and stimulating innovation, which is very suitable for the development of economic situation and the actual needs of society. Shanghai Association for Science and Technology will also strive to give full play to its advantages in society, experts, channels and networks, join hands with all parties to grow together, give full play to the talents of scientific and technological workers, and make greater contributions to the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.

Zeng Xiang Wei that the Yangtze River Delta region is one of the regions with the most active economic development, the highest degree of openness and the strongest innovation ability in China, and it is also one of the most important forestry industry development plates in China. Strengthening the integrated development of economic forest industry in the Yangtze River Delta will play a great role in driving the regional economy and demonstrating the industry, and will drive the industrial development of the whole Yangtze River Economic Belt and East China, and form a high-quality regional industrial cluster.

Professor Wu Hong, deputy director of the Agriculture and Rural Committee of Zhejiang CPPCC, Qiu Hui, deputy director of Anhui Forestry Bureau and chairman of the Society of Forestry, and researcher of Jiangsu Institute of Botany and the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Guo Zhongren. Senior engineer Yang Chufeng, director of Shanghai Forestry General Station, vice chairman of Society of Forestry, researcher Zhang Huaiqing, deputy director of Institute of Resources and Information, Chinese Academy of Forestry, and other experts deeply analyzed the advantages and potentials of promoting forestry industries such as economic forest, under-forest economy, forest health and intelligent forestry in the process of integrated development of Yangtze River Delta, and shared the practical development ideas of realizing the value of forest ecological products.

The meeting focused on the core issues of how to closely follow the key words of integration and high quality in implementing the development of forestry industry, especially economic forest industry in the Yangtze River Delta, and how to give full play to the advantages of various regions with integrated ideas and measures, so as to gather stronger development synergy. Academic exchange site, Professor Zhang Caixi from School of Agriculture and Biology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Researcher Xie Jinzhong from Institute of Subtropical Forestry, Chinese Academy of Forestry, Researcher Gong Bangchu from Institute of Subtropical Forestry, Chinese Academy of Forestry, Senior Engineer Lu Zhimin from Ningbo Agricultural and Rural Bureau, Eight experts and scholars, including Zhang Dongmei researcher of Shanghai Academy of Landscape Architecture Science and Planning, Lu Yujin, president of Jinshan Shiquan Grape Planting Cooperative, Shen Ruixue, director of Shanghai Shangfang Institute of Landscape Plants, and Chen Xiyu, engineer of horticulture department of Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden, discussed how to promote the innovation and development of economic forestry industry in Yangtze River Delta from the perspective of scientific and technological exploration and leadership. Participants interacted with experts and scholars, and the forum ended successfully in a warm and pleasant atmosphere.

Guided by the Chinese Society of Forestry and Shanghai association for science and technology, the forum was jointly sponsored by the forestry society of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces and one city. Constructing integrated development of Yangtze River Delta is a major national strategy that General Secretary Xi Jinping personally planned, deployed and promoted. Forestry societies in three provinces and one city have thoroughly implemented the spirit of General Secretary Jin Ping's important speech, closely followed the two key words of "integration" and "high quality", and carried out new practical exploration of forestry work. The integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta is showing a good situation of speeding up the work in an all-round way, deepening the tasks in an all-round way and involving all kinds of subjects in an all-round way.
