(1) The 14th Presentation of Forestry Talent Award Annual Academic Conference

On April 12-14, 2019, the14th Presentation of Forestry Talent Award Annual Academic Conference was held in Hainan University. The Conference was jointly sponsored by the Chinese Society of Forestry and Hainan University, and jointly undertaken by the Youth Working Committee of Chinese Society of Forestry, the Forestry College of Hainan University and the Hainan Forestry Society.

Zhao Shucong, President of Chinese Society of Forestry , Peng Youdong, Member of the Party Group and Deputy Director General of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, Hao Yujun, Director of the Science and Technology Department of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, Tang Shouzheng, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Chen Xingliang, Vice President and Secretary General of Chinese Society of Forestry , Liao Qinglin, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Hainan University, Liu Shirong, President of Chinese Academy of Forestry, scientific and technological workers and graduate students from all over the country, as well as media reporters such as China Green Times and Hainan Daily, attended the Conference.

The theme was “Youth Innovation and Systematic Governance of Mountains, Rivers, Forests, Fields, Lakes and Grasses in the New Era”. Tang Shouzheng, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hao Yujun, Director of Science and Technology Department of National Forestry and Grassland Administration, Researcher Liu Shirong, President of Chinese Academy of Forestry, Professor Hu Xinwen, Vice President of Hainan University, and Xu Junming, Researcher of Institute of Chemical Industry of Forest Products, Chinese Academy of Forestry, respectively give keynote speeches themed Random Thoughts on Forest Ecosystem Protection and Restoration, Situation and Task of Forest Science and Technology Work, Impact of Climate Change on Forest and Adaptive Management, Scientific and Technological Innovation of Forestry of Tropical Forestry, Serving the Ecological Civilization Construction in Hainan Province, and High Quality Fuels for Chemical Preparation from Woody Biomass Energy.

At the Conference, 14 parallel sessions are established, and the research contents cover many subjects and research fields, such as forest cultivation, forest genetics and tree breeding, forest management and information technology, forest protection, wood science and technology, chemical processing of forest products, wetland and nature reserve, forestry economy, bamboo, forest ecology, landscape, forest fire prevention, grassland, tropical rain forest, etc.

(2) The 13rd Presentation of Forestry Talent Award Annual Academic Conference

On June 1-3, 2018, the 13rd Presentation of Forestry Talent Award Annual Academic Conference was held in Jiangxi Agricultural University. The Conference themed “Youth Scientific and Technological Innovation of Forestry and Rural Revitalization” was jointly sponsored by Chinese Society of Forestry and Jiangxi Agricultural University, and jointly undertaken by Youth Working Committee of Chinese Society of Forestry, Forestry College of Jiangxi Agricultural University and Jiangxi Forestry Society.

Zhao Shucong, President of Chinese Society of Forestry, Li Jianzhu, Inspector of Science and Technology Department of National Forestry and Grassland Administration, Jiang Jianchun, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Zhao Xiaomin, President of Jiangxi Agricultural University, and other leaders and guests attended the opening ceremony. More than 1200 representatives attended the Conference, including scientific and technological workers and graduate students from all over the country, winner representatives of the 7th Liang Xi Youth Paper Award and the 7th Liang Xi Excellent Student Award, and reporters of China Green Times.

At the Conference, 12 parallel sessions are established, and the research contents cover many subject areas, including forest cultivation, forest genetics and tree breeding, forest management, forest management, wood science and technology, chemical processing of forest products, management of wetland wildlife and nature reserves, forestry economy, bamboo science and technology, forest ecology, landscape architecture, and forest fire prevention etc.

(3) The 12nd Presentation of Forestry Talent Award Annual Academic Conference（Note: the 12nd Presentation of Forestry Talent Award Annual Academic Conference was jointly held with the 4th Forestry Academic Conference of CSF.）

(4) The 11st Presentation of Forestry Talent Award Annual Academic Conference

On September 3-5, 2014, the 11st Presentation of Forestry Talent Award Annual Academic Conference was successfully held in Yangling, Shaanxi Province. The Conference was sponsored by Chinese Society of Forestry and Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University, and was undertaken by Youth Working Committee of Chinese Society of Forestry, Forestry College of Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University and Shaanxi Forestry Society. More than 600 young forestry science and technology workers from scientific research, teaching, management and production units attended the Conference, and more than 300 students from Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University also attended the hearing.

Peng Youdong, Member of the Party Group and Director of the Science and Technology Department of the State Forestry Administration, attended the Conference and delivered a speech. Liang Guizhi, Secretary of the Party Committee of Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University, delivered a welcome speech. Chen Xingliang, Vice President and Secretary General of Chinese Society of Forestry , presided over the opening ceremony.

Shan Lun, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor of Northwest Agriculture & Forestry University, Ma Lvyi, Professor of Beijing Forestry University, Researcher Chu Fuxiang, Vice President of Chinese Academy of Forestry, Professor Xue Jianhui, Vice President of Nanjing Forestry University, and Researcher Lu Mengzhu, Director of State Key Laboratory of Tree Genetics and Breeding, delivered special invited academic lectures.

At the Conference, 8 parallel sessions are established. Young forestry science and technology workers comprehensively summarized and exchanged the latest scientific research progress and achievements in recent two years. At each session, the academic lectures were delivered, the special discussions were made and the countermeasures and suggestions were proposed respectively on beautiful China and forest cultivation, forest genetics and tree breeding under the background of global climate change, wild animals and plants and wetland landscape design, intelligent forestry and forest management, efficient and comprehensive utilization of forestry biomass, occurrence law of forest disasters and new technologies for governance, harmonious forestry development, bamboo technology innovation and industrial upgrading etc.
